The oil and gas industry remains one of the important sectors of Uzbekistan’s economy,
ensuring energy security, industrial growth, and sustainable economic development. Under the conditions of
increasing global competition, technological transformation, and changes in the international energy market,
improving the economic potential of oil and gas industry enterprises has become one of the important areas of
industrial development. This paper examines the major factors affecting the economic potential of oil and gas
enterprises, including investment activity, technological modernization, corporate governance, innovation, and
digital transformation. Particular attention is paid to the current reforms implemented in Uzbekistan aimed at
increasing production efficiency and strengthening the competitiveness of industrial enterprises.
