Abstract

In the modern knowledge-based economy, the development of human capital is becoming a key driver of
sustainable growth and competitiveness. This article explores innovative approaches to human capital development in
higher education institutions and evaluates their effectiveness. Particular attention is given to digital learning technologies,
competency-based education, interdisciplinary learning, research-oriented teaching, and industry-academia collaboration.
The study analyzes how these approaches contribute to improving educational quality, enhancing students’ practical
skills, and increasing employability. The results indicate that the integration of innovative methods into higher education
systems significantly strengthens institutional performance and supports long-term socio-economic development
