Abstract

This thesis examines the relationship between regional demographic potential and economic development in Uzbekistan. Particular attention is paid to population size, gross regional product (GRP) per capita, and differences in regional economic performance. Official statistical data are used to compare selected regions and examine the factors influencing differences in economic output per capita across regions with varying population sizes. The study argues that regional development policies should combine demographic resources with investment, infrastructure, human capital, and economic diversification.
