The study examines the impact of transaction costs on the competitiveness of export-oriented producers. The relevance of the research stems from the fact that, amid intensifying competition in international markets, the efficiency of export activities is determined not only by production costs, product quality, and technological level, but also by the aggregate costs associated with searching for business partners, concluding and executing foreign trade contracts, completing customs and administrative procedures, obtaining certification, and providing logistical and informational support for export operations. The purpose of the study is to identify the main channels through which transaction costs affect the competitiveness of export-oriented producers and to determine key directions for their reduction. The research employs systemic, comparative, and institutional analysis, as well as methods of analysis and synthesis of scientific approaches to transaction costs and international competitiveness. Based on the systematization of theoretical approaches, transaction costs are substantiated as an independent factor influencing exporter competitiveness, affecting the total cost of exported products, price competitiveness, the speed of entry into foreign markets, and the efficiency of interaction with foreign counterparties. The main types of transaction costs associated with export activities are identified, and the key directions for their reduction are systematized. The findings can be used to develop measures aimed at improving the efficiency of enterprises’ export activities and enhancing the institutional conditions of foreign trade. Keywords
