Abstract

The article examines the content and elements of the strategic control system in family businesses, as well as a methodology for analyzing operational performance. The three-system nature of family business – the intersection of family, ownership, and business systems – is substantiated as a factor determining the specific characteristics of strategic control. Control tools are divided into four groups, and the specific features of their application in family enterprises are identified. A five-dimensional system for assessing operational performance is proposed, covering financial results, customers, internal processes, development, and family-social capital dimensions. A four-stage strategic control maturity model and an integrated assessment index have been developed.
