INVESTMENTS AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

The study examines the specific features of financing investment projects in the context of global challenges
and the transition to sustainable development. Particular attention is given to the experience of developed countries,
where project financing has become an important instrument for attracting real investment in industry and energy. The
growing use of project financing in the European Union is analyzed in relation to government incentive programs and the
development of renewable and low-carbon energy sources. Examples of successfully implemented alternative energy
projects are presented, including the Nordsee ONE, Nordergründe, and Butendiek wind farms, as well as an innovative
underground hydroelectric power plant project in Germany. The findings demonstrate the importance of project financing
as an effective mechanism for supporting economic growth, attracting investment resources, developing renewable
energy, and advancing sustainable development
