DOI:
https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.21636359Abstract
This article examines the evolution of Uzbekistan’s social protection reforms, with particular
attention to the Social Protection Single Registry, institutional consolidation, and the national social protection
strategy. Based on an analysis of policy documents, international reports, and empirical data, the study
identifies improvements in the coverage of vulnerable groups, the digitalization of service delivery, and the
development of institutional mechanisms. At the same time, challenges related to informal employment, limited
financial resources, and regional disparities remain. The findings indicate that sustained investment, effective
coordination, and evidence-based policy development are important for expanding social protection coverage
and advancing progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030
